Arabinose is an organic compound, also known as L (+) - gum aldose, L (+) - pentose, pectinose, etc.
There are two main types of arabinose industrial products: D-arabinose can be obtained by degrading D-glucose, which is relatively rare in nature and mainly appears in certain bacterial polysaccharides. Natural L-arabinose can be obtained by enzymatic isomerization of D-xylose with uridine diphosphate derivatives, and can also be extracted from arabinose in corn husk hemicellulose.
